07 Jan “So You Won’t Be Cold Alone”
One sentence can change your whole outlook. I know because it just happened to me.
I had the privilege to be the Celebrant for a funeral service where a family lost their most amazing mother and grandmother. The undeniably raw, incredibly healthy and impeccably vulnerable love between the mourning siblings was life-altering.
Mom died from unknown causes and Dad pre-deceased her 12 years prior. All I needed to know to understand this phenomenon that I witnessed was hearing the youngest son, early 40’s I imagine, talk about his parents. He said that all he knew about love was the perfection his parents modelled…..”they’d even go to the store together in the bitter cold just so one would not be cold alone.”
Real life tales of fairytales……
