“When It Comes Down To It, It’s Not The Dying Part That Bothers Me Most……..

……..it’s the pain that everyone will feel once I am gone. My family is everything to me and it’s honestly like we are an appendage to one other.   We are each other’s heart beats.  We need and rely on each other in so many indescribable ways.  I literally can’t bear the thought of the hurt our separation will cause nor do I know who there is, better than me, to help them through it.”

The answer is, it is you. You will help them get through it.

Whether we do a Celebration Of  Your Life days after you earn your wings, months later, or annually at your favourite haunt where your family and friends are strengthened by sharing stories about you, your presence is felt.  The dynamic of funerals is making that very word archaic.  When I get together with a family on a loved one’s birthday, a year or maybe 2, after they’ve established their post as an Angel, the continued healing is cataclysmic.  Inevitably there will be new members join the family and they are given the honour of knowing and understanding the imprint you left.  The young children begin to understand that it might be your talents coming out of their fingertips.   The puzzle pieces of generations stay glued together.

Celebrations of life are best kept informal.  We gather at a beach, a barn, a park, a winery or your favourite hangout where you left seeds of friendships and laughter.  What defined you becomes not just a moment in time but a time that remains monumental.  Bring on great music, awesome food and the complete embodiment of what was and still is. Great love!

Until we master immortality, we have to accept death as a reality.  Your life however can be felt forever by keeping you alive and listening within our hearts.
