We Miss their Story

We Miss their Story

After a fierce battle with cancer, Linda was taken from her family and brought to a place where her sweet dog Cuba was waiting and also where she could be a guardian angel to her puppy named Sam Elliot newly tasked to help soak up the tears of husband Ron left behind. Linda was the nucleus of kindness for her family as her gift of listening to the question, “how are you” was cherished every single day.

Linda and Ron met when she was a single Mom. He stood in awe of her as she was clearly a woman with her priorities straight. Ron watched as she worked tirelessly to provide for her son and daughter. Linda, a carpenter by trade and someone that could read a blueprint better than most men was always expanding her skillset and knowledge to ensure she could provide for her family. She had what her family called “the look.” Ron referred to it as “the argument is over” look and her daughter was encouraged to work on hers! The “look” was perfected by Linda who ran a tight ship in life in order to ensure all was well with her world and those the loved in it.

Linda was multi-dimensional and brilliant beyond measure. Fiercely independent, she returned to school and emerged a sought after professional in the field of Constructions Management. By this time, Ron and everyone else was clear that if they needed a hammer, they had better get their own!

She was a steadfast bookclub member, a scrambled egg making wizard, a gifted decorator and a talented linguist who could converse with anyone about just about anything. Linda was kind beyond measure and led a life full of conviction and love. She was not only dearly loved but clearly admired. Her soul carved its own path never relenting to less than perfection. But for as mighty as she appeared, just one look into her loving family and friends’ eyes, you knew this woman was an angel who walked the earth for 66 beautiful years.

Linda, her legacy of love and the reigning champion of the best salmon sandwiches created by the exact mayo and gherkin pickle ratio, will be forever missed.
